Been a while since I posted here. Mists has seen the social side of the guild continue to grow. Raiding has been a little slow but we are starting to make some progress now and hopefully will see more bosses down in the next few weeks.

We are currently recruiting for some extra players for our raid team for ToT progression. In particular a tank/dps and maybe a healer/dps. Applications can be made on our forum. Social applications are welcome as well.

We're looking forward to the new challenges of raiding in Mists now. Still recruiting for a second raid group for Mists and for social spots.

As announced by Blizzard's Community Team today, Wombles are proud to have been chosen as the first Horde guild on Stormrage to take part in this progam. To emphasise our involvement in the program our guild name has been temporarily changed by Blizzard to Blizzard Mentor Horde. The program will run for four months from today.

Our aim is to provide an environment where new players can discover the rich world that is Azeroth and beyond in a helpful community. We welcome all new players (and existing ones looking for a new home) to contact our team.

As well as taking part in the Mentoring program we will be continuing to run all our ongoing activities and in particular I would stress that this will not detract from our raiding schedule. Players wishing to join us for raiding are asked to make an application on our forums.

Congratulations to my raid group for killing Warlord Zon'ozz on heroic last night. Hopefully Hagara will follow the same fate next week.

Update : Hagara downed last night, onwards to Warmaster now. Congratulations to all my team for the effort and teamwork put into this kill.

It's been a while since I posted here but since my last post there have been a few ups & downs in Wombles and changes in our raid teams. We now have 2 raid teams working on progression in Dragon Soul.

The main group run by Haughlie, Minstrel & Pierre raids on Fridays and Mondays and is at 1/8 hc with more progression bosses about to be worked on.

My new team which has been together just a few weeks and raids on Thursdays and Tuesdays got Morchok & Ultraxion hc under it's belt this week and will continue to work on heroic progression. My thanks to Vekina for helping me with forming this team.

And congratulations to all our raiders and those who join us from other guilds to make our raids successful and hopefully enjoyable.

Quick update - both teams have downed Yor'sahj heroic this week - watch this space for more progress kills.

A full clear of Dragon Soul tonight culminating in an epic one-shot kill of Deathwing. Was this perhaps because I got my legendary last night (doubt it) or because Cokanicus went out (seems more likely).

Anyways congratulations to our main raid group and onward to try some heroics.

Last night after months of  raiding Firelands I finally got the legendary staff. My heartfelt thanks to all in the main raid group for their help in running Firelands week after week. So now I can transform into a blue dragon and all exalted Wombles can buy the cute Lil' Tarecgosa pet.

In the first week of the new Dragon Soul Raid our main raid group relatively easily defeated the first 7 bosses leaving us to face the final encounter with Deathwing this week.

As the title says, last night most of our main raiding group completed all the achievements in Firelands to earn the Glory of the Firelands meta achievement and their new mounts - Corrupted Egg of Millagazor. This made Wombles only the third guild on the server to obtain this achievement (even Aurora don't have this yet!!) So watch out for Wombles flying on their purple mounts in Orgrimmar.

Our main raid group is now making progress on heroic bosses with Shannox falling last week and Lord Rhyolith and Majordomo Fandral Staghelm following the same fate this week. Congratulations to all.

Update - Alysrazor, Baleroc and now Beth'tilac heroic downed as well.

6/7 heroic progression in just a few short weeks taking us to 13th ranked guild overall on the server.

Tonight Ragnaros saw defeat at the hands of the Wombles. We dared to trespass into his domain but this time the realm of flame did not consume us.

Wombles have started on their progress into Firelands downing Shannox & Beth'tilac in the first week and now adding Baleroc, Lord Rhyolith, Alysrazor and Majordomo to the list of defeated bosses. Grats to all.

As the title says, Wombles downed Nefarion tonight. In Wombles tradition the kill came on the last scheduled try of the night. But a kill is a kill.

My thanks to our awesome raid team - Loveliest, Seizon, Nokodohere, Krauzer, Primecut, Cokanicus, Stampede, Rigenous, Wildwinds and myself.

Now to try some heroic modes. And for all exalted Wombles to enjoy their Dark Phoenix mounts.

It seems a while since I last posted any guild news but thought it was time I made a new post.

Wombles have been working hard in Cata - lots of new level 85s, guild achievements worked on, HC groups being formed, professions being maxxed & players gearing up. We have reached our guild rep cap every day & are now at level 17. That scorpion mount is in sight for all Wombles in the not too distant future. We have also organised achievement & mount fun raids of earlier content.

Our progression raid group have now cleared 9 out of 12 bosses & these 9 bosses are virtually on farm now. We are working on the 3 remaining end bosses & hopefully these will fall for us soon. My thanks to all those who have worked so hard for our guild raid progression.

It is my intention to have another group raiding in the very near future. So watch this space.

Quick update - now at 11/12 - Cho'gall and now Al'Akir downed

After several tries our 10 man hard mode group finally defeated Sindragosa on Friday and we had enough heroic attempts left to have a few encounters with the Lich King on 10 hard mode getting into the 2nd phase on our best attempt. This encounter is definitely a work in progress but hopefully we will be able to continue learning this fight on a future lock out (patch 4.0.1 permitting). Many thanks to all who have worked so hard with this group.

Also our 25 man group made progress by defeating Blood Queen with a little help from some non-guildies. Congratulations to all.

This takes our current guild progress to ICC 10 12/12; ICC 10 HM 11/12; ICC 25 10/12; ICC 25 HM 1/12; RS 10 cleared.

Well guys after a few weeks of trying and getting to learn the tactics, after about 3 tries this evening we have finally downed Helion in the Ruby Sanctum, congrats to all that were involved, Kalida will be continuing our guild progression in ICC 10 Hardmodes on Tuesday night, the group is upto Saurfang so good luck guys

Guess what guys, after only a week of continuations in ICC10 we have major guild progression, we have killed the LK and now starts all the fun of hardmodes, would like to say congrats to all who was there, now that we know the fight we can take other ppl and get the title for others

Well guys, what can i say except grats to all involved in the downing of Sindregosa, only the Lich King himself left now, we did have one try just to see how things went and even managed to down him to 92%, which was a good test of skill, just gotta get all the tactics for the boss so we can all get the kingslayer title, Kalida will be starting Hard Modes on Friday night if anyone is interested for guild progression also, hope all goes well

Well guys, what a great night we had in ICC10 last night, the group there managed to down both the Blood Council and Blood Queen, so all we have left to do now is Sindregosa and the LK himself, we might not get the server 1st's but we get there in the end, new pics in the gallery by the way.

Well guys, we are slowly progressing in ICC10 with the downing of Professor Putricide, GOOD JOB to all involved, and we then went onto Sindregosa and have managed to get her down to 20% so well done again to all involved, hopefully after the reset we can progress even further
